Let me give you some background on Real Life Superheroes (RLSH).

The RLSH movement is a real thing. Go ahead, google it. There are a few headliners and many unknowns who work the streets of their cities to make a better life for the less fortunate. Unfortunately, the media and movies treat them as a joke because, well, grown men and women dressed up in homemade costumes and names may seem odd. But look closer and you’ll discover some decent people who really want to make their neighborhood streets safer and better.

And why not? Our pop culture is teeming with superhero icons, movies, books, and graphic novels. Who doesn’t want to be part of that? But instead of just dreaming of fictitious heroes and dressing up in Comicon cosplay, the RLSH go a step further by actually taking to the streets to help out in their small way. One year in L.A. while the 30,000 attendees were decked out from Aquaman to Zorro at the Comicon, a group of RLSH, rather than attend the convention, were out handing out fresh water, socks and food vouchers to homeless people only blocks away.

That’s where the spark for The Foil came from. What happens when a man risks his safety every night to face the real problems real criminals and crooked cops while protecting a secret identity?
